Default CTS-V oilpan in S10

Hey guys,

I have done a 5.3 LS swap on my ECSB 92 S10 and I will be changing that to a 6.0 in the near future. In my initial swap, I didn't want to cut the crossmember and using the LH8 oil pan allowed me to not have to cut the crossmember to install the engine. But, as many of you guys know, this pan hangs lower than the crossmember. My question is, has anyone installed the CTS-V oil pan into an S10? If so, does the crossmember have to be modified to do so?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I believe that the sump is about 2" too long (towards the crossmember.)

Research the dimensions of the c5 batwing oil pan. In my particular setup, it dropped right in, when prevailing thought was (and continues to be) that it won't fit.

Well some have had luck getting the Holley pan to fit without a notch. I had mine it. It has to go all the way back in order for that to happen. If your running a/c, you MUST notch the a/c box, and coil packs must be out of the way.
