It's has some useful information but nothing you can't find by googling it. Don't waste your $$.

Thanks for the info, I've never done an LS swap and I'm buying parts and reading this forum like a crazy person. I admit, I love the pictures and when the topic of anyone's thread turns to the wiring I glaze over. I am hands on and just reading about it is very hard for me.

Follow lt1swap.com for the wiring. Everything you need to know is there. It actually starts to become clearer as you begin the process. I was pretty intimidated at first but once I started I realized it wasn't that hard and I'm no wiring expert by any means. Whatcha building?

88 M/C SS with a 6.0 /6l80e out of a 09 G8, so far just collecting parts and knowledge before the hard part starts.

Do you have your engine/trans yet? If not, make sure you get both connectors for the ECM. I can send you links from some G8 forums with all the pinouts for the various connectors. Using this, I made my own harness following the general method used on LT1swap.com

I have the engine / trans already it came with a "harness" at this point no guarantee its all there. I have a ECM With two ports and only one plug. So is it all there, no idea. But thanks for the links that would be awesome!

I found Alldatadiy.com and Mitchell.com wiring diagrams and diagnostic Info to be invaluable when I modified my donor engine's harness (GenIII into a '56 Chevy) About $50 for both for a year. Sometimes their info is identical and sometimes presented in formats that are useful in their own unique format.

Here's another thread with some info on the harness work:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...hevelle-2.html

I still need to go through my hand diagrams and clean them up more like Jason did above.

Here's a link to some G8 manuals from a G8 forum
https://www.mediafire.com/?6l6q10bav0xof

And a link to all the G8 harness pin-outs
http://forum.grrrr8.net/showthread.php?t=33446

This is the link to LT1swap where he did an LS3/L99 which was really similar. Jason and I both based our work on this.
http://www.lt1swap.com/2010camaro.htm

This how-to on LT1swap walks through the main process, albeit a different harness, but its the same technique. Sadly it might not make sense until you start tearing into the harness. It made more sense to me once I got going.

LT1swap also shows here how to make your own fuse block and OBD2 port to make your oem harness more of a standalone harness.
http://www.lt1swap.com/fuseblock_obd2port.html

And my harness was missing one of the ECM plugs as well. I think I mentioned it in Jason's thread at the top. I had the 80 pin connector, but needed a new 73 pin connector, and this is where I got it. I also bought the special crimper to do the crimps the right way.

Hope this helps and isn't too much information at once.
