I love this swap your doing! Does this have a different supercharger pulley on it? I ask, because it looked like in one pic, that you have a different than stock idler bracket on this? I am just learning on these LSA swaps, even though I am buying parts like I know all about them. LOL

Default Small update...

Got the inter cooler and the AC condenser mounted. Looks like everything will work fine. I started modifying the hood latch and its support. Not done with that yet ran out of time...

Thanks. I re looked, and post #48 3rd pic has a black bracket, I see a casting # on it, I guess I just expected it to be silver, well, cast aluminum. I don't have much experience with these though.

What is that intercooler/heat exchanger from? I am guessing that one is a aftermarket unit?

It is an after market flex-a-lite unit.....

Default Update...

Got the inter cooler all plumbed in, just need to figure out some kind of hose clamps to hold them together....

Also got the power steering cooler mounted and hoses connected. It should get enough air, but not really worried about it. This is more for additional fluid capacity, as the CTS reservoirs are small....

Bumper mounted, plenty of clearance...

That is all for now...

Hi Tom . I had a similar setup of the transmission cooler with not so great results .Driving my car to Texas 3 years ago the tranny started overheating using that cooler and in the same location .I ended up installing a new cooler up front and adding the radiator cooler in line as well , havent had a problem since.I know it is crowded up front in your case .This was on a 6l80 .Hopefully you wont have any problems , just wanted to share my results,JOHN

Default Update...

So I made a little head way...

Touched up the cowl panels with some premixed paint from O Reilly. Matches pretty good....got the rest of the sheet metal installed, starting to look like a car again...

Also managed to get the catch can, PCV system, upper and lower radiator hoses done, and a few other items......

And last but not least, the hood closes and has about an inch of clearance. Crappy picture, but it's there. So if anybody asks, yes it will fit...

That's all for now, wiring starts next....

Great looking car and a great build. How can you not like a 66 Nova? Best year IMO.
