Default Dies when idling and when accelerating.

Hello,
I'm new to the website. I built a kit car with a 98 LS1 with a Porsche G50 trans mission, painless wiring. The car will idle fine for a while then just dies. When you try to drive it it will run for a little bit some times longer then others then will die. some times if you feather the gas it will stay running. Grateful for any help. It does not have a VSS. Not sure if its possible with the G50. It has a GPS speedo. Thank you for your help

Hi nitro what kit car did u build? With the limited information provided it sounds like something is turning on (e fans or alternator) causing a positive wire to ground. I would closely inspect your battery pos. wires all the way to your alternator. I had a grounding issue with a power wire and the damage wasn't all the way through the outer coating. it just had a crease in it, but was enough to ground out. When I had this issue my ls1 would idle fine then just go to die. I would shut it off before it could die. I could feather the gas and keep it running.

Additionally if your e fan is wired backwards when they go to come on, it will also make it die.

You need to host your images somewhere like imgur, facebook, flickr, etc. and then post them with image tags.

Back to the car. Is it an otherwise stock engine running with the stock computer? Is it using a MAF sensor? Has it previously been tuned using hp tuners or similar?

I agree with the above. Most of the issues I have run into have been bad grounds. Even factory grounds.
