Default 1968 Chevelle factory A/C with LS1

Interested in getting my factory A/C components hooked up with the LS1 compressor. However, the previous owner removed/cut a lot of the lines. If anyone has pictures of how the lines are routed that would be great. I don't know much about A/C systems so you might have to dumb it down a bit. I attached some pictures; hopefully they'll be helpful.

And yes, I know the engine bay needs to be cleaned up lol

I think that you have to convert from the factory pump from variable to fixed in order to use with older stuff. Don't quote me though. I had looked into doing it with my 76 Trans Am with LS1 swap, but I was going with Vintage Air before I sold the project.

I was able to get my 71 factory AC working with just connecting up the LS1 compressor with some custom / modified lines/holes.

Quick answer... from the 1st photo. the top S shaped line coming out of the evaporator goes to your compressor (low side). From the compressor it goes to the condenser. Out of the condenser to the drier and then into the lower port on the evaporator (high side).

I'll try and get some photos tomorrow...

Also you will want to recalibrate your POA valve for R134a. You can send it to classic auto air or if you dig around on the net there is a way to do it yourself.
