Default Torque converter stall

I have a stock 2002 LQ4 and a 1987 TH400 going in a 1987 Chevy long bed, would the stock torque converter work. I'm thinking it may not seeing as it had a 4.3 V6 in it before.

Yes i do but I want to get my truck running if I can get away with it I will but if not then so be it.
