I looked into the 4.5 bit is about 11,000.00 for everything I need. Couldnt see dropping that much after I already had all the turbo stuff. It would fit no problems.

I LOVE the truck! If it were all stock, I would have a hard time with this, but its not, so do it to it!

I polished the rails and will do the core to. The machining is nice enough that it was a snap.

I actually ordered the bigger 2000hp setup but after 3 weeks they still hadn't ordered the cores yet so I bailed on the big one and went with the 1500hp. I made sure I got the rule 3700 pump because the 1500 needs alot of flow. I can upgrade later if I need to.

Well, been a LONG time since post. It was in a chassis purgatory for months so I brought it home. Not quite the condition I was lead to believe LOL.

But, it is home now and work will be starting soon. Cleaned up OK but LOTS of work to do.

The plans are for a no prep drag truck that is street friendly. Got to get some weight out so the stock stuff wont kill it on the scale. Tubing alot of the front,

Motor and tranny are done. Everything buttoned up with arp hardware. It is the shortblock from the firebird I had. Was suppose to be a forged crank 370. It isnt a 370 and it has a stock crank but I decided to run it till it lets go and see what I can do.

Cool project. I myself owned a lightning. Fully built 3.4l whipple truck with all the fixins. Put down over 700 at the wheel n ran mid 10s. Had a bad experiance with the shop who built it, so ended up offing it. But i do miss it. Good luck with your project, i like it

Throw a diaper under it to keep yourself safe, and let it eat. As much as I hear it happen, it still amazes me that people are lied to about what they have. I can't stand people/company's that lie about ****.

The diaper thing is definitely going to happen. Honest people dissappear about 5yrs ago.
