Default Ford lightning turbo LS with powerglide

I got bogged down with another project so I decided to start another. Always like the lightnings but love the LS platform so I decided to put both together. This will be a street truck with power steering, stereo, etc. Just looking for 5.50's driving to the track and back. It is a ladder bar setup and will have solid mounts for the motor and tranny. Didn't want to do front and mid-plates because they get in the way with turbo stuff and this isnt a max effort vehicle.
It is getting the front lighten and partially tubbed to make some room. First thing will be getting it tore apart for paint it is a 25.5 but I may cut some bars out so it is a bit more street friendly. This will be a slower build because I wil have to do some stuff myself and I dont have alot of time. COme May it should speed up a bit when I can move to the same town I work at.

Oh I can only imagine... the LRodder guys USED to be pretty cool and would probably be down with it but NLOC, SVT, or ModularFords will most likely summon the lynching mob for your nuts

Perfect, I was hoping to stir the pot a bit. Honestly, for me it is the best of both worlds.

As a LRodder member and Lightning owner I can say it doesn't bother me. I mean it's not like he's starting with a mint Lightning.

LRodder hasn't been the same since it got sold to auto guide, then Matias started Lightning garage which started strong but has died off lately. I suspect most of which is because the Lightning Platform is old.

I've always had a thing for Lightnings, I guess it was from when I was in high school and they came out and I always told myself I'd buy one when I got a real job. I've owned mine for about 6 years now. It's a low mileage white 2002 with minor bolt ons and a tune.

It is at the chassis man getting set up for the LS and glide. It was a mod motor and glide. Going to open the front a bit so there is some more room for the turbo stuff. Then I got to get it home and take it apart for paint.

Arkansas. Truck came from Arizona originally. It is at chassis shop so I couldn't do picks when I decided to post.

Well, still getting some updates done. NO pics as the chassis man is too old school to text or take phone pics. LOL He knows what he is doing so that is the important part. I may go and try to get some pics. He is putting a power rack back on and will make it where I can use the stock ls pump. Going with manual brakes but need PS to do the city driving. Truck only has 12,000 miles not 22,000
