Evap / Tank purge questions
I'm REALLY wanting a charcoal canister and tank purge function on my swap. I'm tried of smelling like gas.
I'm using a stock LS1 evap solenoid, and to trigger the purge I want to put a special function in my Holley ECU to trigger a ground during low RPM (cranking cycle) to open the purge solenoid and close when it gets above that (when the car starts.)
That way every time I start the car it purges the charcoal canister.
I found a 1999 Jeep charcoal canister that will work fine and should be easy to mount under the rear of the car near the fuel tank.
These systems are pretty simple so i am trying to figure out if I am missing something.
I have a 4th gen fbody check valve too, I think I need to put that on this set-up. It's designed to allow fresh air back into the tank when fuel gets low I think.
Any ideas? I know I can just install a small filter or even run a hose but i want something functional that will contain the smells...heck I am putting cats on my car too.

Just a couple of short pieces from the tank to hard lines. But these are rubber with steel braid over them.
Even the factory used short pieces of rubber hose on the new stuff and no fuel smell
