Fox body project begins
This is where I'm at on the beginning of completely new to me territory. So far i have 300.00 tied up in the car and motor/tranny from a 2005 Chevy single cab 2wd has all accessories, wiring harness and computer. I'm just wanting to get the car going for now. I have an 8.8 ready to go in when I get to that point. Going off of what I've been reading I'm going to get a Team Z K member using stock control arms for now and order a cross member from??? with more research or recommendations. I'd really like to get the engine and transmission in within the next few weeks. Wanna say thanks to you guys for the wealth of knowledge on this site and really looking forward to doing this. I'm all ears to any recommendations and advice.

Right now I have a 1500.00 budget to just get it on the road and going. I know that will be cutting it really close but gonna try. Ill probably sell a gun or something to get my budget up to 2000.00 to get it on the road. Any suggested ideas I'm all ears...

I got in there today just cleaning things up before the first batch of parts show up. I am going to need new carpet and seats. I found 16.3 trillion mouse turds today maybe more. Rats nests in the trunk behind the carpet and a big one under the spare tire.....all garbage now. The rats didn't chew any important wires or eat out the seats though. If I wasn't such a fat *** the cheap fleabay racing buckets might be an option. The headliner may be the only piece I keep kinda sucks to since the seats are in pretty good condition. If I let them sit out in the sun for a few days would that tame the smell slightly???
Also gotta pull the dash and check for rats nests there may as well replace the heater coil while I'm in there.
I way underestimated this project

I would pull out the seats and use some type of detergent, (dish soap) and just hose them off with water and then let dry. We all underestimate our projects. We can invision the completed car in our heads but forget sometimes how hard it is to get there lol.

I think I may have under estimated the width of my fat ****. The ones on ebay are 20" to 21" wide. My friend has some of the ebay racing buckets in his blazer and if you don't get into the seat correctly you will have a seat enema, the sides of the seats are rigid. I will say though once you were in them they are not to bad.
I'm gonna power wash the seats and set them out on the deck for a few days. That smell is ingrained my head I had dreams about mice and I'm not kidding. Its not a direct kick in the nose holes smell but like a musty heavy smell.
Thanks gentlemen for your input on this
