Just thought I'd share. New Gen V LT1 Hot cam crate engine. Theres also new trans offered. 4L75 Supermatic w/ 650 ib. ft. rating. CPP is also offering the 8L90E too !!!!!!

Man. Would be nice. 6800 RPM redline.

At $14K with no accessories/electronics it is stupid expensive though.

Says it has "forged powdered metal" con rods. Not sure what that means.

I agree. I'm not sold on the dollar per HP value but they have wow factor for now at least.

Forged powdered metal rods are like the gen 4 rods. Strong factory rods.

If we are dreaming or have cubic dollars to spend, why not buy the Gen V LT4?

It has good torque down low and stays almost as flat as Hoffa's pulse through the RPM range.

Not gonna disagree with you guys about the LT4 being the most power for $ but don't they have bad heat soak when used as a track car?

Yes, but that's not the engine's fault. The Corvette suffers from not enough cooling capacity for the supercharger. This can easily be addressed when retrofitting into an older vehicle, especially old cars that have big, open flat grills which can house large heat exchangers.
