Default 98 LS1 5.7l swap to 01 4.3l GMC Sierra

Ok so I have a 98 LS1 complete with harness and ecm from a camaro. I want to drop it into my 01 GMC Sierra it has a 4.3l. I also have 4l60e for both engines. I have a few questions, anything helps. Will my wire hareness be an easy plug and play? Do I need to delete the VATS in the ecm? can the 4l60e trans work with the ls1 or do I need to replace the trans as well? also looking for front accessories and headers. Any body can tell me what brackets and headers to use on this swap?

you will probly need the accessories for the ls1 to work. any 99+ truck v8 headers should fit. the v6 trans will work with a crank spacer between the flexplate and converter. like $40 on summit. and u will need to oblong the flexplate holes for it to bolt up. Not a hard task.

It will need tuning and u can do away with vats etc. Harness will most likely need to be made standalone. u can use lt1swap for the diagram and how to on this. U will need motor mounts as well. Should be a straight forward swap tho. PM me if u need any help.

this should cover everything. http://www.performancetrucks.net/for...-guide-378643/
