Default My 91 LS1 Z With it's New Wheels

Got them about a month ago, finally got some time to snap a shot or two. I threw in a engine pic, but beware the engine is dirty...

one of the members in my car club had trouble with his wiper motor fitting back in after the LS1 swap in a 91 RS. did you run across this problem with clearance also?if so what did you do to rectify this? i'm doing the same swap in my '89 RS convertible and wanted to get a heads up on this, plus help out my fellow club member.

bad- I didn't really have a problem with it, what I did was I took the wiper motor and rotated it so I could put the wires behind it in the indent there is on the firewall. Once I did that I just put it back in place. It really cleaned it up under-neath since they are a little more stealthy. I've got work left to do to the engine bay making stuff look a little better, but all in due time. LoL..I mean it's been running over a year now, but I haven't taken the time to really work on it much. I've been too busy with other things, hopefully I'll get it done sooner then later.

Bizzzatch- Thanks man!

Thanks guys!

Nine Ball- No I'm not the orginal owner, bought the car from a friend of mine who had to have a 3rd gen after I took him for a hairy ride in my old 91Z 1LE Camaro. Yes it's the orginal color, and actually the original paint as well. You can't tell from the pics but it's not in great shape paint wise, the clear is coming off the top too from previous owners lack of care. Not to forget the primer problems that were going on in 91.

John- Thanks man! Everything is holding up fine still, goes in for smog again in Feb. Some rumors are flying around that I may be building another engine for after smog, but we'll see if I actually go through with it. I still need to get sub-frame connectors for this thing, but since my dad had two knee replacements I had more important things to do then get the car to the fab shop. I'm not sure if you know since we got it running but now I've also got a Currie 9" now, Bear Track kit, Sphon LCA's, PHR, Random Tech Tq arm, Eibach sportlines in the front w/stock rear springs, and I think that's about it.

Take care all,
Brad

I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Sharp looking car. Are those the same as the older Mustang GT factory wheels? Did you have to special order those or are they just Torque Thrust wheels? It's hard to tell from pic. Yea, I wish my engine were that "dirty".

Thanks everyone! John, they are Vintage Wheel Works V45's basically kinda like Torq Thrusts in a way yes.

Cannibal- The swap is pretty straight forward, especially with a Speartech harness where all that electric is done for you already. Thirdgen Resource sells the motor mounts for it and a variety of other parts as well for it. I could talk forever about the swap but you can read my story and many others here at Thirdgen.org's site Click here

You can also see the progress pics of my car on my web-page. Click here again

Sorry if that's too broad let me know what specific questions you may have and I'll be glad to let you know.
Later,
Brad
