And Blackhawk how is your intake fitment? Running a Vic Jr single plane on mine and worried about hood clearance

and how did the headers work? Same ones I got… ohhh and my heater box, is that going to give me issues? Mines a AC car

lastly what accessories are you running?

also btw love the wheels and stance

The truck intake fits fine, but the cover hit the hood. The Vic might fit, I put some information in your other thread.

My car was an A/C car, but I'm running an A/C delete cover for now. I did mock up the original suitcase and it looks like it will fit.

Truck accessories, but running an older version of the ICT Billet 551396LS0-3 brackets.

Thanks for the comments, your car is pretty impressive and that engine should really make it move.

Here are some fitment photos of the oil pan and headers. They fit great.

Have you thought about how you are going to shift your car?

I bought a 70 Monte carlo The summer, it’s getting a 6.0 with a 4l80, i sold the old 350/ 350 combo, recouping some capitol , I have the headers, New fuel tank, In tank. fuel pump, and sender from tanks inc.
The Monte Carlo debuted September 18, 1969, which happens to be when I was born. I wanted a 70 monte for a long time and found one to build this summer.

This is the day we picked it up….

I have not, I don’t know if the manual pedals from a chevelle are a direct fit…. If I need a special set up to work with a slave cylinder or if I will wind up with something along the lines of what we run in our open wheel ashfault modifieds with a adjustable Wilwood system… no idea yet

trans is the most unknown as for now… I would like a rock crusher as my uncle used to build them for race cars all over rhe east coast before he passed away but I’d also like a O.D. Gear

i don’t want a short throw like what you get out of a T56 tho… I want the feel of a 4 speed

what exactly are you getting at tho?

thanks

I work for Shiftworks and we specialize in Automatic O/D Transmission shifter solutions, and I either missed it or did not know what transmission you were putting in, we do have a monte shifter, but if you are going to a manual we don't have any products for you, Good luck on the build! maybe we will see it at a car show or on power tour some day!
