Default Thanks to All the 1960 Corvette is Alive!!

I just want to thank everyone on this board for the help they provided during the last two years I have been building my LS1/T56 C4 suspension car. I don't post a lot, but I learned a lot from others. I owe a lot to Street & Performance for doing a great job on the wiring harness, and reprogramming the computer. (without this board I wouldn't have known what to tell them though) Two weeks ago I turned the key to "on" ... the fuel pump cycled...I turned it to "start" and it went ... VAROOOOM!. In all the years of building and rebuilding carbureted cars it seems that they always stumble, choke and puke until they finally get adjusted and run properly.... not so with this engine!! it purrs like a kitten! Here is a link to the car. Click on 1960 Conversion. [URL=http://faculty.delhi.edu/purdysd]

Yes, it's from a 1996 that got hit in the passenger door. I can hardly wait for some good weather to get it on the road.

Scott,

Congrats on getting it fired up! I know that you can not wait to get it out on the road. The day my 59 fired up, I walked around with a stupid grin on my face all day. As many cars as I have built, It is still a real charge when they finally come to life!

Regards, John McGraw

Default Excellent job Scott!

Wow, that looks incredible, the paint job is so smooth and clean and you did it in the garage.

You can't tell it's a homemade car. Plus you have that kick A$$ powertrain.
Wow!

I can hardly wait to take that first test drive, but I've got a couple of items to straighten out like alignment, and (hopefully) minor problems.

(John McGraw) John I felt the same way... I really didn't know what to expect, except that if it didn't fire I was going to have some real fun trying to find out how these computer control cars work. Now I know... they work great!!

(NOSJohn)... Yes I should be at "Vettes the Beach" it's usually my favorite show, I've won the Contributors trophy a coupe of times there.

I really hope that I finally have an old 'vette that is enjoyable to drive! the're great for their cool factor, but now it should be a pleasure to drive too.

Looks great! That is my favorite body style of the vette and I love seeing conversions with upgraded suspension and drivetrain. That will be great to drive and would be an awesome commuter car! Good mileage with plenty of fun power under the right foot. Enjoy and good luck finishing up the small details.
