Have you swapped an LS1 into an 02+ S10? I have an 02 S10 4.3/Auto. I'm (still) trying like hell to find someone experienced in this particular swap to help me out. I'd like a 5.7 LS1, but for cost factor, I can settle for a 5.3, even an iron block. I can collect the parts, bring my truck, etc. I may have someone to do it, but nothing is definite at this time and I'd like to have a "plan B" if things don't work out. I can leave my truck for 6-8 weeks. This doesn't have to be started right away, either. Though, I would like to get it done as soon as reasonably possible. I'm literally sick to my stomach of my v6. I'm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I can travel if necessary. Any and all help is appreciated.

not a hard task to do,
the only problem you might run into is the crossmember for the trans. which trans are you gonna use?
the A4 or the M6.....
i might say that the M6 looks sweet as the shifter comes right out of the cup holders! :-)
