Default Have you swapped an LS1 into an 02+ S10?

I have an 02 S10 4.3/Auto. I'm (still) trying like hell to find someone experienced in this particular swap to help me out. I'd like a 5.7 LS1, but for cost factor, I can settle for a 5.3, even an iron block. I can collect the parts, bring my truck, etc. I may have someone to do it, but nothing is definite at this time and I'd like to have a "plan B" if things don't work out. I can leave my truck for 6-8 weeks. This doesn't have to be started right away, either. Though, I would like to get it done as soon as reasonably possible. I'm literally sick to my stomach of my v6. I'm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I can travel if necessary. Any and all help is appreciated.

Have you checked the sponsors in the local (southern for you) forum, maybe one of them would be willing to help you tackle the project.

not a hard task to do,

the only problem you might run into is the crossmember for the trans. which trans are you gonna use?

the A4 or the M6.....

i might say that the M6 looks sweet as the shifter comes right out of the cup holders! :-)

Yeah, I'm posting the same thread on every pertinent site I can come up with. I'm keeping the auto trans.
