Question HELP LSX in 67 II...

Hey all,
New to the site and very excited.
I am currently building an LSX 67 Chevy II G-Machine. I am utilizing the factory front end and need any and all information on items such as motor mounts, transmount, oil pan, headers, guages... I have read where alot of you guys use after market front ends, but I just didn't have the $$$$..
Any and all help will be very much appreciated!!!!
Thanks in advance,
MAX

One of our sponsors BRP ------->

Sells the motor mounts and tranny crossmember 4L60 and T-56 for the swap.
On the headers from what I've read most our building there own. Of course any kind of header in a Duece is going to be a challenge. If you can get past that everything else should be pretty much cake.

That is going to be an awesome ride. I've always wanted a 67 Chevy II with an LS1. Good Luck with the swap and keep us updated.

Year One and S&P also have parts.....>
You should really consider an after-market front end though.

LS1tech is listed as a sponsor on http://www.pro-touring.com/ They have some good info.

I just lowered the LS1 in my '62 Chevy II and it went well with a TCI front end. I am not sure I would want to try it with the stock front end. They are a little pricey but you gain a lot. Rack & pinion, strength, room... It has been a learning experience though.

John Parsons has done a good job of documenting his '67 Chevy II build. Actually, he does some writing for PHR so some of his work has been published. His website is http://www.iimuchfabrication.com/. He has also posted a lot of things here and at pro-touring.com where he is a moderator. Here is his article from PHR on the design of his front suspension. You said that you wanted to use the stock front end, so it might just be an interesting read for you. Good luck with your project.
