Default Fitting an LS1 or LS2 into an '86 Iroc

I am sure this has been done a million times. But, i am new to the "new school" technology. How straight forward is this swap? I has a 305 TPI right now. THanks for any advice.

you might want to check out the engine swap section on www.thirdgen.org as they have a lot of information about this. if you scroll down in this section theres also a thread called "LSx into Third Gen Resource" or something similar.

finally, another great bet is to go to www.mofbody.com as its a local fbody forum to you (im a member from kansas city). theres a member there that swapped an LS1 and t56 into his 91 GTA Trans Am that will be of great help to you as well.

*EDIT* that mofbody.com members name is GTA91 and i do believe hes a member on here as well.

you can search online for people who've done the swap.

one example is these guys- F body motorsports.

While their service for shipping products can be less than desirable, they do a decent job of illustrating their LS1 into a 3rd gen install

scroll down and check it out

I hope this is helpful
