Default Cruise Control "Cruise/Resume/Accel" arm

I am putting drive by wire in my '56 with my LS1. I need to know where I can get a cruise control arm that will work with that. John at Speartech tells me I need one that the switch is normally open, whereas many of the aftermarket systems are normally closed. He was thinking someone on this site had in fact found something.

Antoher issue is that I have a steering column from a '69 Olds in my car. So the arm needs to mount to that column. (My old aftermarket one is an arm that slips over the old column's cutoff arm, and uses a set screw).

Any thoughts on where I can get this, or what to get?

You could get a relay to do the conversion for you.

See if you can find a Turn Signal/Cruise contol stalk from a 90s vintage GM car and you should be in good shape. That's what I used and it fit right into my 79 Caprice column. KInda tough threading it through the column, but doable. You need one that has 4 wires, then connect them up as John shows in his instructions. I found my stalks on EBay, got 2 of them for a dollar plus shipping. Good thing I got 2 as the set switch was bad on the first one I tried (of course I picked the bad one!).
