Gardner Douglas Replicas build vehicles to specifically use LS1s. makes a good read as they make a lovely kit (not a replica but a modern take on a cobra i think)

LS6 into FFR MKI Roadster : (my friend Bob Zook, Originally had a LS1 but found that the block had a hairline crack)
(The green one on the right), This is my House, the Black Cobra on the Left is an Original 427 Cobra with Racing History)
LS2 into FFR MKIII Roadster:
LS7 (427) into FFR GTM-200 (the New SuperCar from Factory Five which uses a lot of parts from C5 Corvettes):
ZL-1 into FFR MKII Roadster:
