Default Converting a LT1 to a LS1

When my engine goes I have been considering just upgrading to a LS1, but i have a couple questions. How hard will this be to do? What all will i need to change to get it to work? And will it even be worth it? I had the car painted last spring and it wasnt cheap so i dont really want to ditch the car. Any input would be appreciated

Ashley, if you find a LS1 engine/tranny combo for a decent price along with a good person (ability/price) to do the labor, its worth it......especially since you have quite a bit into the LT1 body.

I have a LT1 car that has been converted to an LS1. The swap was not that difficult mechanical wise.....the only tough part has been reworking the harness to fix little (but important!) things that were done wrong when I received it.
