Default Chevelle dipstick ???'s

Starting a 6.0/4L80 conversion next month in my 72 and was wondering if there were any other options for the trans dipstick other than something like a lokar. One thought was to us the lower portion of the factory tube and a portion of the uppper tube tacked together. I could then use the factory tube dipstick but will have to cut it down to show the proper level. I think I can use the lower portion of the engine dipstick and do the same. Done a search but cant seem to find what I am looking for, or I am looking in the wrong place!

What is the matter with the stock dipsticks? You just need to match the engine dipstick to whatever pan you use (probably f-body pan). And all the factory trans dipsticks seem to fit fine. I used a f-body trans dipstick, but after I put everything in I realized that a truck one would have looked cleaner. The f-body one fit good, but not as clean as a truck one would have looked.

Engine/trans are out of a van so the dipsticks are both a mile long. I will look at the truck stuff. That might work out better.
