So Kamin, are you ditching the rb for an ls1? Assuming the answer is yes, what makes you want to get rid of the rb? Isnt the rb25 just as potent as the lsx minus the down low torque?

BTW, beautiful car... it's hard to beat the overall appearence of a Kouki, specially when they're sideways

flynbyu82 - yep RB is for sale and im hoping to have it gone soon so i can do a ls1. why? couple reasons. I loved my RB dont get me wrong, was a great engine and i had VERY few issues with it over the years but a few months ago something happened that makes me want to take driving a little more seriously and i am going to hopefully be traveling in 2008 out of state a few times to drive. no big deal, unless something breaks. i cant get a CAS or a MAF or a coil pack at autozone for a RB. so if i break at the track, im basically fucked and wasted thousands of my own/sponsor's dollars for nothing. that and i love pissing people off and want a NA 400whp car that will never overheat, pop and IC pipe, or give me issues

XofXtimeX - cant help it, its not very hard haha

he has never tried to race me, when im in my ss,
car looks clean as hell, with the wheels and also has one of those burnt

car also has drag radials.
the thing that special about that car is the fact they never made a vert as an s14, so this is the best of both worlds, great looking front end and vert, but also being very exclusive. not many people have done s14 fronts on s13s, they usually jump into s15 fronts which still look nice but are over done. good luck with the swap and if you do end up wit ha s13/s14front'ed ls1 i get a finders fee and a ride

S14's can be made to look so good. I think that would be one of the fun parts of an LSX to import swap: getting to tastefully rice it out and make it look good.

Exclamation S13 are NOT more rigid!

You're gunna want the rubber. I just mounted a set of 275 falken 615 on my rears and there is tons of room left, especially on the inside. I'm running 17x10.5 +27. I'll probably go 315s next time. And the S14 has 2x the torsional rigidity of the s13! Most people don't know that. Depending on options the MOST an S14 can weigh more than a S13 by is 78 lbs! With the right options they are almost exactly the same. Plus it's hard to not look 80s with an s13.

Well, where did you find that torsional rigidity info?

I plan to stitch/seam weld mine and cage it... I have an s13.

Also someone mentioned the rear end on an s13 is heavier than an s14? Say what? S13s are nose heavier than S14s as far as I have read over and over again, haven't corner weighed it yet but...

Either way heh, mine is completely stripped... Made a huge diff (stripping>handling that is)

Would you happen to know the size and off sets of those wheels? If i can fit that large of a tire i might just do an LSX transplant into a 240sx.

I know its an old thread but I can add a little input on your question. I have put 295 35 18 BFG drag radials on 18x10 wheels with +42mm offset with only the lip rolled on the stock quarters on my 97 240SX.

Since this is back up and going again, with a set of sticky 315's how would the rear hold up to violent launches like at a dragstrip? Hard to find people who have sticky 315s on a 240.

The rear end will hold up fine... Most s13's had an open diff. Pretty common and easy swap though to put a helical lsd in from an s15. Usually costs about 450 shipped from japan on fleabay. (somewhere I even have the write up for that swap)

anyway, with 350 at the crank and 275 slicks out back, it's held up to far more than i would have ever imagined.
