We used a stock LS1 radiator in our swap. Since we didn't use the air conditioning, we could use the clips on the fron t of the rad to mount it. We cut four windows into the core support (make sure you clear the battery tray!) and slide the clips up into the windows. THen a piece of angle iron on the bottom with a few old shock mount bushings, and it was in. The rad cap is VERY close to the hood, but does clear. System works great, and cost almost nothing. THere is a description and pics in our thread.... https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/684612-story-our-ls1-swap-into-67-camaro.html

only other option is to buy a new aluminum unit for a 98-02 6 speed car and have brackets welded to the side of the tanks. that way you could still run the factory fans.

this radiator is $399 on ebay, but its for an auto. so im sure the 6 speed unit would be cheaper. throw on some $100 factory fans and you got a $500 ls1 rad set up.

$500 isn't too bad, but my setup cost me less than $100, and most of that was the cool overflow can. If you can get the rad and fans from the donor, you can get a little creative is finding a way to use tham, and save a ton of cash. If money isn't an object though, call Griffin or Be-Cool, they have bolt in solutions, and you can even choose where you want the upper hose (drvr side is the standard, but having it on pass side would make install way easier!)
