Default Hand held tuner for LS1 swap??

I just wanted to know if there is any hand held tuner for my LS 1 swap. It's a '98 LS1 in a '78 Monza 2+2. I already have a wait-for-me tune but I want to be able to fatten it up and back off the timing for NOS.

Thanks,

Bill

You wont be able to do either thing you mentioned with a hand held tuner. You will need hp tuners or efi live or ls1 edit to do that sort of tuning.

I would not agree.
The better handhelds out there will handle these simple tasks and then some.
Unfortunately, if you are using a 98 PCM there are limited choices, but they are out there.

Even the best handhelds will not allow you to say take out 5 degrees of timing at 4000 rpms. Or add injector pulse width at a certain rpm. The tuning of a handheld is very limited. You can have someone else make a program and send you the file then upload it to your handheld, but you do not have the adjustability of hp tuners on a handheld. If you did then then everyone would be using them. True you do have some adjustments with handhelds, but not what you are looking for, they are preprogrammed tunes, dont be mislead by what this guy is saying, unless he can prove me and everyone else wrong. Thanks,

I'm looking into something like efilive or hptuners. I do have a lap top so I'll have to learn how to do it.
