Dude thats not to funny, you should have considered putting it into another car. Dosent matter what the hondas got in it it still dosen't look good. You should put your time into something else but then again the things half way done know.

That'll be badass once you're done(assuming you did a good job on the fabrication and really thought the project out). Still, it would've been a heck of a lot easier to do a swap into something that was already RWD.

I thought about putting a LS1 into a mini copper if I had the $ and time to do so. Who cares if it's in a civic, that thing should haul ass.

it was totalled, frame was bent over a foot and a half......i wasnt going to do this but......i bought a running 1993 subaru impreza wagon to do it in.....but it ran fine so i sold it and made some money......i bought this civic last year for $200....with only a knocking motor.......sold it to a friend a few months ago....but then he bought a fox body so he didnt want to do the civic anymore......he stripped the car down so he could paint it......so thats how i got it back.....i have all the parts for the civic......so i measure the length of the civic and it was only an inch shorter on the wheelbase....so i just said fuck it and decided to have some fun........if this didnt turn out well i was just going to buy a factory five GTM.....and i might still do that anyways......but for right now im having fun.....

i knew i would have some people in here that would scold me for this in here.....but in the honda forums, not one person has complained.....lol

I don't want to be an ass but isn't that engine set back way too far. I would think you could easily set it forward another 6 inches or so this way it isn't protruding so much through your firewall. You have it setup like an F-body or vette with part of the engine under the wind shield, actually worst becasue you have about half the engine under there where as the others have maybe a 1/4.

Gah, that would be so funny to hear that car. I mean, it's so anti-Honda. It's worse than an LS1 in a Mustang. I'd tell everyone it's the new VTEC or whatever.

If you call an LS1 Stang a half breed, what is this? A mutt?

I would've modded the engine first -- heads/cam anyway.

The HORROR!!!

Nice work. I'll be intersted to see the final interior. That motor is way back there. Otherwise, great idea and will certainly be unique.

lol....guy at my work wrecked it.....insurance never picked up.....we filed for the title....and i did some trading for it......actually bought it for $2000 but i removed a supercharger kit from a eclipse that the wholesaler didnt want at my work......sold it on ebay for $2000 and gave the money to my boss.....

oil sender.....lol....that was priceless.....

and about the motor being to far back.......i used the entire vette drivetrain.......front suspension, steering, rear suspension minus the subframe......i narrowed it 4 inches to fit under the car.....i wasnt going to spend and insane amount of time modifying the torque tube....or trying to redo the front suspension geometry and steering.....it works just fine the way it is......and yes the car will actually have awesome weight distrubution.....and i am trying to have this whole thing done in a 4 month time period......only working on it from like 7 to 11 weekdays and on the weekends.....it is just a toy....it got my mind off of my divorce.....gave me something to do.....
