Default few diff harness q's hopefully easy...

first is there a diff between the round plug on the trans (4l60e) between 98 and other years?

i was under the car today and my plug (the big round one) willl not go all the way into the trans to plug in. i removed this trans from the doner car wich was an 01 t/a the harness i bouth i was told it was a 99?

if there is a diff trans plug on 98 harness' , is there an easy way to tell the diff betwwen a 98 vs. a 99 and up harness?

also everyone says the big fat purple wire is for the starter. ok. is that c102?

because that doesnt make sense there's already a wire that triggers the solanoid. so the only other wire that goes to the starter is the battery cable..no? and so if c102 doesn't go to the starter.. what does it go to?

on a separate not does anyone have a pic of their trans installed from the bottom view? to show how the crossmember is sitting.

I looked at my 98 harness vs my 01 harness and trans plugs look the same to me. The pin outs will be different for sure. The easiest way I know to tell them apart is the temp sensor. 98 had 3 prongs and 99+ had 2. C102 wont be used on a conversion car. You can use your existing starter wiring and remove it. Hope Im not giving you bad info because I a new at this as well but I just finished modding my harness and alll seems well with it.

c102 goes from the purple wire on the starter through your harness to that end. That end is what you connect to your original starter wire on your swap. That wire is just the lead that ties to the starter. If you used your starter wire from your original car wiring, then you dont hook either end of this purple wire up.
