Talking Engine Harness ?s

I am putting a 2000 model LS1 into my LT1 car. I have a chance to buy a 02 wiring harness and pcm. Will this work with my setup? What wires would be different? Thanks in advance

Should be pretty much the same. As far as I know there weren't any wiring changes from 00-02.

you really need to try to get an 00 wiring harness/PCM... reason being is there are many changes in 00-02 ie no EGR on 01-02, LS6 intake on 01-02, different camshaft, and some other stuff. if you get an 02 harness/pcm for your 00 engine, your pcm will be tuned to have EGR and the LS6 intake which will be a problem. same harness/PCM same engine is MUCH easier thing to deal with. make sure your harness has everything you want btw, ie transmission, cruise, traction control etc. i would def not get an 01 or 02 harness for an 00 engine, maybe 98 or 99 but def not 01 or 02.

I wont be using tc, cruise, etc. I will be getting a dyno tune anyways because I went with a larger cam and all. Does anyone think it will work ok?

No wires are different. If your getting a tune I assume you are losing the emissions so thats no big deal. 99-02 harness' are the same. Computers have diff programs but you have that covered. You are good to go.

it wont be a direct plug-n-play option, if thats what you mean for your 95.
id opt for a stand alone harness to shortcut headaches of wiring if you are
not versed in schematics and wiring.
call rita @ superior harness 501-9821050
she can get you a harness and better your startup time.

Since you'll be getting it tuned anyway it will work fine. The wires aren't different, just the pcm is programmed for a different cam, intake, and injectors.
