ls swap in an xterra??? ok my friend wants to swap an ls1 into an xterra with a 4l60e tran and 4x4. has anyone done this before and if so any tips? links? etc?

Sounds cool. I'm doing a LS1/700R4 swap into my '02 Jeep TJ right now.
It's a bit different than a Xterra, but going to involve some fab work just like mine is. You can check out what's been done to mine so far here;
