Race your car!

The thing I would be worried about is the missing oil cap, that dust is in the motor.... Hoep it's gonna get a teardown and rebuild now before it's run, because it's gonna need it sooner then later.
The weight and power goals puts that car well into the 9's 1550 and 400 rwhp makes for a low 9 second car, so if you can get it to 320 hp thru that auto, it's goign well into the 9's.
Get some slicks on it though, with that short wheelbase you're gonna need the traction!

In a car that light low end tq is not gonna be anywhere near as important as it is in a full weight f body car. I also assume the car will have no emmissions to pass and will have a race exhaust on it. That being, said, I'd go with something that's on the big side, 235/240 duration, something in that size with 600 lift.... there's a TON of cams out there, your car's probably light enough so that something like a trex would probably work awesome. Hell the fastest cam only car went 10.2 or something like that at 3100 lbs or so, you're planning on a raceweight over 1000 lbs ligher, that car should really move if it makes anything close to the power he made.
