Default Non-LS1 fuel pump options

I`m getting ready to put my next project car together (4.3L TBI chevette) and I am trying to decide what to do for a fuel pump.

Ideally what I am looking for is a fuel bucket/venturi setup like the 99+ f-bodies use, but I need something that is lower pressure for a TBI motor (~15psi). Were there any TBI cars that used a setup like that???

I am also considering swapping a newer tank in place (if I can find one that fits) so that I will have a baffled tank.

I was surfing the net last night and found out that a bunch of late model GM cars use the fuel bucket/venturi setup....but they are all multiport cars. Does anyone know if the TBI regulator would be able to bypass enough fuel to allow me to use a multiport pump? I know that the multiport pumps are made for 45 psi instead of 15, but as long as the regulator can bypass enough fuel the pressure should stay down at 15??
