the 97 has the lt1 motor which is a decent motor but if you can find a 98+ withs the ls1 would would probably be happier.
you can use the seats, dash, and center console.go on pro-touring.com there is a thread going right now about using the 4th gen dash in a 1st gen car.

here's a link to the thread about the dash
http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/sho...t=4th+gen+dash

if the pics don't show up you might need to register to see them.

i haven't seen any pics of the seats.i know people have done it.i think you woul have to fab some kind of mount to adapt the seat bolt holes to the 1st gen .

There are a few posts on camaros.net of people doing this.
Below is an awesome example. This is Nineball's old car.
These are obviously Camaro seats, but I've seen excellent recovers of TA seats as well.

Yearone sells houndstooth covers for 4th gen seats specifically to match the 1st gen interiors.

Do you happen to know if they sell covers that would match the standard or deluxe interiors? I'm not a big fan of houndstooth but wI have a feeling that a premade cover will be cheaper than having something custom done.

I finally found them on their web site. They do offer them in standard black and houndstooth. I seriously doubt there's too much of a market for them though. $441 for 2 cloth seat covers. Another $150 for the matching rear bench.
I can get them custom made locally for less than that.
