not worth tyring to adapt, if u are going with harness , they come with the connectors for ls1 4l60e. easier to use ls1 trans, or th350/400

It is for my 93 TA it has a built 4l60 in right now. I was thinking of kind of going with a carbed LSx till I could afford a stand alone EFI setup. I was just wondering what all would go into swapping my 4l60 to work with lsx motor.

I dont think going carb will make the swap cheaper.

Default making the 4l60/ls1 swap

what you'll need is a crank spacer to use 700r4/4l60 and earlier tranny, $89.00 from Raptor transmissions, that basically it. carb setup is $650 a modified harness tothe existing efi system and ecm edit is the easier way to go. Im runnin a built 4l60/ls1 combo in an 85t/a. so it will work.

Yes and no.

To make it physically bolt up you will need a crank spacer or a new torque convertor with a LS1 nose.

The electronics are the interesting part. IIRC all the LT1`s used 4L60E`s so it requires a computer to control the trans. I don`t think a LS1 computer will control the 93 60E because in 93 the 60E`s still had a regular lockup torque convertor. By the time the LSx series engines came around GM updated to PWM(pulse width modulation) lockup torque convertors.

You could get an aftermarket trans control computer and run the LS1 computer separately, or you could go carbed, but either way you still need some kind of computer to control a 4l60e trans.

Nah the 93 4l60 was just 700r4 for the most part and did not need anything to control the trans.

Huh, must have been the 94 and up then. Well if thats the case you just need the spacer and a solution for the TV cable. Bow tie overdrives has a TV cable bracket, theres at least one person who figured out how to connect the TV cable to the gas pedal, and it looks like some others on this forum may be making a bracket to connect it directly to the TB.

You will also have to delete the trans from the PCM.
