LS1 into a Reg. Cab Silverado?
Has anyone seen this done or know of a webiste I could check out more info on this swap? I figured it would be a fairly easy swap, but before I get my hands dirty or my check book out I'd definalty like to get some advice.
Joe Gibbs performance made a Silverado in 2004 that had a over 450 horse that looked pretty sweet but I wanted to do my own version.. thought the LS1 swap would be the best/cheapest way to get some serious power? Right now the Silverado has 20K miles on a 4.3 V6.
Here's a pic of the Joe Gibbs truck and link posted below

Your best bet would be to do a 6.0 swap from the same year and play with it a little to get a little more pep. You can find a total dropout setup with everything you need from a local salvage yard. This way you can make sure that it is indeed a plug and play affair. Good Luck
