Nice times for sure! What rear gears are you using and how much does she weigh? I'v got an 81z with a carbed LQ4 and I was trying to compare your mods to see what I may be able to run.

I am running the factory rear with 3.23 gear... I have 275/60R15 tires... BFG drag radials... about 7 years old.

I am guessing my wieght at about 3250lbs.... I have to cut the front springs after motor swap... LS1 is much lighter than a sbc 350... otherwise it would look like a TONKA TOY....

Those are some solid 12s once you get those 60's down. Good times for a 3.23 rear.

pretty neat-has anyone used the msd box in a switchover to FI-i thought with a harness, that same box would do fi-i planned to start out with a carb, latter switch over to fi maybe, and if the same box could be used temp. would be neat
with some tweaking, you will prob hit 11's

no way... alot more to it than that. Besides. I wanna stayed CARBED... FI is nice... but costs more and has more plumming and wiring...

Beside the carb intakes flow better... and HOTROD MAG... has typically pulled better numbers with carb and intake

Did Forced Ind mean Forced induction by "FI", not fuel injection, maybe. I think that he meant forced induction not fuel injection. either way nice car.

i meant fuel inj.-i was going to start off with a carb., once everything was up and running, maybe switch over latter to fi-i thought the msd box could do that with another wiring harness-i am running a d1sc procharger with a vette acc. drive, on an lq4 engine w/zo6 cam. I have run a bunch of prochargers, fig. would be easier to start with a carb., given my computer stupidability-im using a switch pitch turbo 400 trans at first, then might switch over to a 4l80e (already mocked it up once) i want to end up with good performance, middle to high 11's, quite so i can tolerate it driveability, decent rpm's on the road(doesnt everyone-lol)
update us on the vette, would like to see what it ends up doing
