He got it from http://www.carshopinc.com but it came with the alternator and was $550. Its a nice setup and fits perfectly though.

Someone snuck in and stole your fuel injection and put a 60 year old carb on it.

LOL I know I tried to talk him into going with EFI, but it was just too much money at the time. It can always be a future mod though.

We try to price the unit as reasonable as possible, it's not cheap to purchase the cnc machines, keep the lights on and feed your employee's.
Two of the pieces in the kit make up over half the price. You get a brand new alternator, tensioner, cnc machined billet brackets, high performance bearings to insure long life and a belt to top it off..
I have seen a lot of other home built brackets that are super sturdy and work but are less than appealing to the eye, we strive to build parts that both perform and look great.

I wasn't by any means implying that the price was out of line, I understand completely. The fact that it is a high quality, well engineered kit justifies the price. For what the customer is getting, its a good deal but it IS expensive. Is it worth it? yes. Is it within budget for everyone? no.

For someone like me who needs an alternator only setup, its about the best out their (from what i have seen) but I simply cant afford it. Unfortunatly, im going to stick with stock truck brackets and tensioner with a shorter belt. Dont get me wrong, I would absolutely love to have the kit...maybe in the future. I didn't mean to offend you in anyway.

No offense at all, I just keep hearing people complaining about the kit price and just wanted to clarify a few things. Pricewise if you look at the average cost of doing a conversion with a ls1 this is a drop in the bucket compared to engine and wiring cost.
I can also sell this kit for a bit cheaper for alternator only relocation, it will work with stock F body accesories and power steering.....

I'll see if he still has the part #. He has been criticized for using shortys, but its damn near impossible to find longtubes for this swap. I dont think the shortys will restrict it too bad anyways (maybe if it had a much better set of heads, but thats not a problem right now )
