Default LT1 Radiator and Fans fit first gen?

I bought an LT1 roller Z28 today for $100 for pretty much no other reason than i couldnt pass up the deal. Anyway it had the radiator and fans still in it and just for the hell of it i took them out and brought them over to my 68 to compare. Im getting ready to put the ls1 ive been building in it and still havent bought a radiator but the stock radiator in my 68 with the 400 pontiac measures roughly 28x18 and the LT1 radiator was about 28 1/2 x 18 1/4 just rough measurements but i mean that is SO close to me i could weld in some brackets to hold the radiator and the fans pretty much just clip on the LT1 radiator. I know the LT1s were reverse flow cooling but i have the lower and upper radiator inlets in the same location so really, why wouldnt this radiator work?

No reason why it shouldn't work, even tho the LT1 is reverse flow.. the radiator is still a radiator.. with a outlet on both the top (inlet) and bottom (outlet to feed the water pump).

What makes the reverse flow of a LT1 is the Water pump that causes the water to flow into the head 1st instead of the block.

I figured it should work. Once i get them all in ill post pictures. I was just going to buy the aluminum one with fans from ebay for $599 but this saves me $600. I figure if this radiator cools the iron Lt1 it should be more than enough for the aluminum LS1

the fans are the same. i was going to buy an aluminum 98-02 type radiator and have tabs welded to the sides of the rad then bolt it to the 69 camaro radiator support. that way i could use the F body fans.

i found a guy on ebay who sells a lot of conversion radiators. he said he would build me a bolt in 67-69 radiator with ls1 fan brackets for $400.
