Default LS1 PCM programming - what did I miss?

Been getting things in order for my LS1 swap into a 91 Firebird. Donor is a 99 camaro. Basically building a harness from scratch. (sucker for punishment I guess). Just trying to eliminate any extra wiring. If I don't need it, it won't be there.

I sent the PCM in to www.PCMPerformance.com to get it setup to run. I did some searches on here, and other forums and made a list of stuff I don't need. Just wanted to bounce it off the experts, plus make a searchable post for those who can't afford to buy their own tuning stuff.

deleted:
Vats
EGR
tank pressure
skip shift (!cags)
Rear O2's
Air soleniod
VTD fuel enable signal (Vats?)
Low oil level
Ac
traction control
torque management
Air pump (egr?)

Modified
Tach output to 4 cyl
speedo calibration for gears
Cruise output from 4k to 2k so I can use the stock cruise???? (not sure if this can be done though)

I'll update this post with suggestions

thanks

clutch inhibit switch, unless you're going to hook it up, it will set a check engine light on certain years

The tach output, on the LS1, is 4 cyl from the factory. It can be changed, but if you run an aftermarket tack, just hook it up to the 4 cyl input. What transmission are you going to use?

Using the T56 that came with it

So what does the tach need to be changed too to utilize the stock V8 Tach in the 91 Firebird?

I read that you need to 'step up' the signal.

efilive has a switch in the setting for this called "tacho pullup enable" This allows the use of the older tach with the newer PCM.

and here is there discription

If Enabled, the Tacho Output will have the PCM's internal 12V pullup applied to the output signal.
If using an aftermarket Tacho please check with the manufacturer if this would be required.

Only the following values may be entered into this table:
- No
- Yes
Does that make sense?

thanks for the replies

It can be done, I had jesse do this to my PCM, cruise works great.

Are you sure factory cruise is 2k though? I thought that the 91`s had electronic speedos already, all GM electronic speedos are 4k. But I guess it is possible that they still had another output for the cruise that was 2k.

It can be done! Sweet

and yes, I'm sure its 2k

the electric speedo's were 4k. The ECM would step down the signal to the CC brain.

Trust me, I just went through this with an LT1 swap I did
