Haha...thats awesome. At first glance I didnt know it was even a model. Haha. Had to read for a second.
Looks like the motor is from a 1:18 vette die cast or something? I have a couple thirdgen GTAs on order in 1:18...and Plan on swapping in an LS1 to match my car
There are TONS of scaled parts to build a scale shop too.. like your hoist and all. I love that stuff.

The old 944 models are in 1/24 scale, but getting anything new (ie. LS1, wheels, etc) are all in 1/25 scale. Not close enough. That's why I had to use a Franklin Mint vette for the donor. They are made in 1/24 scale. The wheels I used are actually 17" (1/25 scale), but were correct size for 1/24 scale 16" tires.
The Hasegawa 944 kit I used comes with carpet, pop-up lights, and turning front wheels. The windows are all around, I just cut out the side windows since no one works on a car with the windows up. lol.

I am working on the hoses and wiring in the engine bay now. Hard to find hose with the correct size that maintains a contour. I'm using wire now which doesn't look quite right, but close and keeps the contours. Here's a couple pics of the interior. My camera doesn't do very good on macro, but santa said he'd fix that little problem.. ho ho ho.
