Default 95 gmc headers for a 6.0 vortec

Hey, I'm leaning toward the 6.0. Can anyone tell me what header will work for the truck and motor. If so, did you use the shortys or long tube and where to purchase. I'm getting closer to the decision. I agree now that this 6.0 motor is the ticket for the truck application. If anyone can help, bring it. I'm also looking at some different cam grinds. I think I'll go the a gm performance
Z220+ from scroggins dickey, 551 lift, 220-224, 114. They have very good prices and much cheaper the comp cams, with lifters, springs and cam swap gasket kit, its 535.00, comp cams is 816.00. Thats a bigs savings. SD performance was a big help. Check them out.

thanks locrzn

Back again, I haven't gotten any response on the headers, I have another issue with the motor mounts. I've heard I'll need some type of an offset plate or mount to match mine. Does anyone have the answer to that one also.

there are a number of places to get those. you can get a set on ebay in the ls1 section. i got a set from street&performance. as for headers, i got a set of late model truck long tubes to work on my 79chevy truck. you will want a set that exit back straight.

I think I found the correct one, edelbrock has a shorty for 99 chevy with 6.0. I think in 99 they still hadn't changed the frame, cab or front suspension. I think we can make those work. I still need to find out about the motor mounts. I think I found a thread that my be correct on ls1truck. This guy used a 03 frame and motor mount on his 94 chevy. I hope thats correct. Thanks for your input.
