Default Sweet Video of Jarrell's Procharged 1979 C10 forged LS1 383 Swap

Hey guys...

Here is Jarrell's 1979 ATI D1sc Procharged C10 pickup. He has put a ton of work into this truck so far, and has plans for quite a bit more. The truck was just recently inspected and "put on the road". His wife shot the video of the truck and he mailed it to me for chopping up The video is about 40MB of the truck idling, showing engine and interior, and out on the street cutting up

40 MB, right-click and save-as: http://www.lsxtune.com/vid/jarrell.wmv

whats that metal sound? is it just because there is no air filter on the blower?

all of the ATI centri's sound that way, getting louder as they go up in size. I suppose it may be exaggerated by not having a filter, but not a lot.

The metal sound you are hearing is probably because there is no breather muffling the inlet side. Prochargers have a distinct whistling sound. As far as exhaust, it goes from pacesetter long tubes/3" collecters, then x pipe to fake caps to 2 40 series flomasters all the way out the back all 3".

I love that truck. My dad had a black 79 like that, of course it was just a farm truck with a 350, not a procharged LS1. Nice swap!

took the truck for its first long drive the other day. i didnt have to call a rollback, so i guess thats a good sign. when the converters locked up you almost forget about the supercharger. almost......... sometime around may i will have the rest of the parts on it and will put it on a dyno. i will put another video of it up then.
