Default 99 ls1 into a 98 six cylinder questions

My brother just bought an 1999 ls1 motor & he has a 98 camaro with a 3.8 he wants to swap it into. The first question is, will he need a different k member or motor mounts? 2nd, would the easiest choice be to get a computer & wiring harness from a junk yard?(if so, would it matter what year?) 3rd, will the existing fuel system work properly for the new fuel demands and fuel line plumbing? thanks.

the best is for the wiring of a 99 - 00 from a yard. try to stay with a camaro in order to make it easier, the birds have minner differents in the wiring when it comes to the body. also try to stay with what ever transmission you have, it can be more work if you dont. The fuel pump will need to be changed as well. I think the K member can stay, not sure.

You need the kmember, peds ,mounts from an ls1, as well as the steering knuckle, and rack. If you get a 98 pcm&harness, its plug and play, just add one extra wire for the injector +12v. As stated, you need a pump. Flex Lines from the rail to hard lines are a little different but will work.
