Default Salvage LQ4???

Well, I finally can't take it anymore... I'm ditching the gen I for some LSX goodies! I've been looking for a 6.0 to drop in the camaro and I stumbled across a pretty beat up LQ4. Looks like the passenger front corner was hit pretty hard, shearing off part of the water pump, manifold, TB and more... Even popped the freeze plug out of the head. What I'm trying to decide is, should I take a chance on it? Anyone heard of block cracking from a wreck?

Personally I would run. Looks like alot of issues to work out that would end up being more expensive than a clean low mileage engine.

Unless you are planning to tear down the motor and have it checked for cracks, I'd also say SKIP this one and find one without any issues!

That a big chance to take considering those motors aren't very expensive to start with.

If it's less then 200 dollars, grab it. Otherwise, I wouldn't touch it.

Run away, don't walk. The little things would kill you.
