Default 70pontiac tempest LSX swap

hello everyone
This will be first lsx swap i have a 2000^ chevy truck motor and 4l60-e trans that will be dropped in a 70' pontiac tempest. The engine and trans came complete with the wring harness, minus a couple of odds and ends and was wondering besides the mounts and crossmember, if anyone had wiring diagrams for the fuse block and PCM. any additional advise or experience is more than welcome thanks guys.

tempest is the same as a chevelle so look for all the chevelle "A" body swaps, lots of 'em here.

The top grey colored plug goes to the Throttle Actuator Contoller (drive by wire module). Off the top of my head, I think the other 2 big connectors go off to the body control module. Not sure on that one.

actually yea, did you use a 1/4 spacer under the cradle mounts as well? other than that what do people use for the speed sensor inputs? im a little puzzled by this next obstacle but thanks for the input always appreciated

Is that really a 2001 yukon motor? I thought the 01`s still had cable TB`s.

Anyway the VSS signal...well if your not using a late model trans you will probably end up with something from jags that run. You need a sine wave AC input. They have senders that screw inline with your speedo cable, or you can mount one on the pinion of the rear end.

Kinda OT but do you have any more info on this, I need a 5v occilator like this to fool a toyota v8 ecu so it'll go over 2000 rpm and I'm having a hard time finding a PCB/kit to do it.

I don`t know of any PCB`s/kits to fool the PCM, but how about putting an actual VSS on? I have heard that you can pick them up a some speedo shops(they are sometimes used as an add-on in cabs to run the fare meter) Or check at jags that run as they sell a lot of different VSS`s and should have something for your application.

Guess how fast you go! No need for a speedo! In the end, you only need a few fuse. the coils need 12V the injectors need 12V the PCM needs 12V and maby one more thing. You sure have a lot of fuses.

.....tell me about it.. Ok so all injectors to a 12v all the coils to a 12v, and the PCM to a 12 v, ign,? I think i can manage that, i was just wondering how to do it using the factory fuse block i found a thread on some guy named jeepster who used the fuseblock but it confuses the **** outta me..

I said **** the haoday so i test fitted the engine and decided....since im on a extreme budget, that i'd go with hacking a inch into the cross member so the oil pan would clear, took me about 30 minutes of cutting with a angle grinder and grinding it out a little, tommorow ill weld a plate in, to help out the strength and fab my cross member...almost there baby!
