pace performance is a pretty big chevy parts dealer. google them, call them (their phone number is in a lot of magazines), and verify that the add is theirs. it probably is, they're probably making room in their warehouse for ls2's, l92's, ls7's, etc by getting rid of their old antique ls1's (it is a 10 year old design afterall)

OK, if $2600 is for real, second question.
An 04 LS1 would be DBW and a 24x reluctor wheel. I know GM offers an $800 plug and play harness for the 58x reluctor engines (LS2, 3, 7), so where can I find a similar 24x harness that wont cost more than the engine?

Thanks for the info. Looks like it may be more doable than I thought.

You would have to source a harness and ECM, and you don't get a trans with it. Fair deal, but probably not the stellar deal it seems at first when you can get a pullout with a 6 speed, harness, ecm in the $3800-$4800 range.

I've found aftermarket standard LS1 harnesses for under $500. OEM computers are not too expensive. I dont need a trans and my accessories are only an alternator (68 vette). I would end up buying a new clutch anyway. And it comes with a 2 year warranty. For me, it's a pretty good deal.

For what you are looking for, it is a great deal. Just wanted to point out that for some guys, it would cost them more. Not needing a trans makes a HUGE cost difference.

You can find a stock harness on ebay almost every week. Get one and modify it yourself and save a lot of money. They are easy to modify for a conversion vehicle.
