What year is your 4.8L?

You need to know if you have a 58x or 24x crank. Either way, you will need to go with the same crank style, otherwise the computer won't work. I don't know off the top of my head if the 4.8L is even available with the 58x yet.

Anyway, you will be able to do either, but you won't be able to do a L92, you know what, why don't you give me a call and we can discuss it further.
