HI guys Im taking the plunge as well into this Ls1 stuff and currently stuck a 75,000k (canadian truck) 4.8 out of a 2006 Express van got it for $300 complete with harness/PCM but the harness has been cut in a few places (all plugs for sensors there) by the hack job wrecking yard I bought it from. I want to make it a stand alone with as little as possible and I plan to use the o2's (only 2) I dont know if I need the purge solenoid that is almost touch my cowl hood at the fron of the intake... If anyone has any advice on the PCM tune I should get for this Im open to any advice or tips... My car has a Ford 9" 4:10 strange spooler/axles, roll cage line lock, th400 2500 stall I dont even know a decent place to send this PCm to as Ive yet to here of anyone in Canada doing it.. OH I need to find a car oil pan if anyone has one because the truck pan just about touching my cradle and my sterring is hitting the pan on the passenger side. If anyone knows a wreckers that has a car oil pan that would be awesome ttyl Great site!

Default Ls harness info

Any info you could possibly need is at lt1swap.c0m. I had no idea what I was doing and swapped an lq4/4l60e into an 82 silverado. There is a pin out for all the different harnesses there that is pretty straight forward, you only need to hook up a positive, a ground, and an ignition. Plus the guy who runs the site can flash your PCM to remove vats, change your trans, and remove torque management for $75 including shipping, that way you can drive it to a tuner if you have other mods. You can either figure it out or pay $700+ for a standalone harness, I'm cheap so I used the inter webs for guidance.

You can ditch the evaporator solenoid , I think most do anyway, plus makes a nice home for a air sensor it you wanna ditch the maf and go with a speed density tune

The camaro harnesses are the easiest. They are practically a stand alone already. You just need to remove the emission crap you don't want and setup a fusebox for ignition and constant power.

Here's the site with all your pinout info.

There is no reason to email people links; they are in this thread to be clicked on by any adult with the capacity for reason and ability to read. Trolls looking for email addresses, prepared to be spammed once you send them what they refuse to simply get themselves.

Default 2002 LS1 wiring conversion

Hi I have been reading up on the wiring and have all the pin out details but does someone have a simple detail of which wires to remove to get the engine running. As i am not sure which wires are required and which are optional. I am putting into a 1952 Chev Loadmaster converted to pick up.
