Default LS1-> Backfire

2004 Corvette LS1
4L60e
Electronic TB

I didn't think a backfire was something a fuel injected engine would do.

We had a warm day and I went for a drive. The care started running like what a carbureted car that may be flooding would run like, and it backfired big time. It ran very rough for a bit as I got to a place to stop.

It cleared up and seems to be running fine, but I abortd a 20 mile trip I was about to take for fear it was about to go kaput on me.

Any thoughts on what might have been going on?

Sounds like the issues I was having. I had wiring issues with the Cam Position and Crank Position sensors.
