I'm going to run a 750 Mighty Demon. There was an article in some magazine ( I have so many cant remeber which one ) where a 6.0L was seeing vacuum at WOT with a 750. They put a 950 race carb on there and it only gained a few HP. (Like 6 or 8)

well the carb formula goes like this

cid x max rpm / 3456 will usually give you about what cfm you need

i would personally go with the holley 650 vac sec for the street and the holley 750 mechanical sec for the strip

just my .02

If you’re revving it to 6 grand a 346 is only going to need 600cfm with a VE of 100% so a 650 is a good bet like stated above.

GM put a 750 on their LS2 crate motor when they rated it at 446 HP. Figure if it was good enough for GM...

we ran a 750 mighty demon double pumper @ drags,it went 125mph on rpm dual plane edelbrock..we changed the carb and fitted a 770 vac sec street avenger and was realy sweet round street...std 346 with 236/240 @.050 crane cam.setup has all changed now,but it was great 18mths ago.....over here in australia there has been extensive back to back testing between rpm/vic jnr....rpm came out on top.vic jnr only for 400+ cubes loses power on small engines....cheers.dave.
