Question Power steering pump & remote reservoir

I posted this in the external engine forum but there isn't much input so far. I'm hoping you guys may be able to help since most cars here have custom work done to them.

Does anybody have a remote reservoir with a stock P/S pump?

i have a remote reservior on my rock crawler i am using the f body bracket setup with a stock power steering pump i took the plastic stock reservior off and taped where the fluid goes in the pump to i think a 1/2 npt and just clean the metal shavings out of the pump good and used a 1/2npt to 5/8 hose barb and then to a reservior with a 5/8 hose hope this helps
ps just dont go too deep with the tap it does not take alot since its not under pressure

No problem to do. But as mentioned above the resevoir must be higher than then pump to insure proper fill level.

Thanks for the input, having the reservoir higher than the pump will be a problem.

GraphicNature, where is the reservoir in your crawler?
